About the event

Do you think you have what it takes to become a nature detective? Join us to uncover the mystery of what wildlife is living at Summer Leys. What you'll get up to...

  • We'll head on a short walk to look for animal tracks, signs and habitats to figure out which animals have been visiting the reserve
  • We'll pop into one of our bird hides to do a bit of birdwatching and play a game of bird bingo
  • We'll then head to our private education area where you'll get the chance to search for minibeasts and have a go at dissecting an owl pellet

Mobility

We will be heading on a short and steady paced walk to a bird hide closest to the car park, and then to our education area which is a couple of minutes away. The education area is grassy and uneven and unfortunately may not be suitable for wheelchairs

Our visitor centre will be open to buy refreshments, but please feel free to bring your own drink and snack if you'd like
