About the event

Join us for one of our popular evening bat walks around Summer Leys to learn more about these amazing animals and how to use a bat detector (provided) to listen to the bat's echolocation calls and identify the species present.

This event is suitable for ages 7 years+. For safety purposes, a maximum of 2 children (under the age of 12) can accompany one adult.

Please bring a torch as the reserve and car park will be very dark towards the end.

Mobility

The reserve is mostly gravel paths with one grassy section, it will get quite dark towards the end of the walk.

What to bring

Please bring a torch. We'd recommend wearing bug spray.
