About the event

The Nene Wetlands Nature Reserve is an ideal habitat for bats and a great place to see and hear them, with 5 different species regularly being recorded.

Join us for one of our popular evening bat walks around Skew Bridge Lake (also known as 'Bat Alley'), when staff and volunteers will be on hand to explain more about these amazing animals and show you how to use a bat detector (provided) to listen to the bat's echolocation calls and identify the species present.

This event is suitable for ages 7 years+. For safety purposes, a maximum of 2 children (under the age of 12) can accompany one adult.

Paths may be slippery and uneven in places so please ensure you wear suitable footwear and clothing. We also recommend bringing a torch and insect repellent.

For our event terms and conditions, including our refund policy, please visit: Events terms and conditions | Wildlife Trust for Beds, Cambs & Northants (wildlifebcn.org)
