About the event

Learn how to safely use tools and knives to make your own wooden mallet, which can then be used for den building, chopping fire wood etc.

These sessions are great fun for children and grown ups alike and are a great way to reconnect with traditional outdoor skills in the wonderful natural setting of the Nene Wetlands Education Area.

Due to the nature of these activities, children must be at least 8 years old and supervised by an adult on a 1:1 basis. Additional children over 12 years of age are permitted if parents or guardians are confident they can supervise them safely.

Please ensure all attendees wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear (long sleeves and trouser recommended).
