About the event

The East Anglian Fens are facing a daunting environmental challenge. While the region plays a vital role in UK food production and bolstering rural economies, just 1% of the original wetland remains. This talk will explore the wonderful biodiversity of the Fens with a focus on predatory insects, the key services they provide in this landscape, and how alternative land management strategies such as regenerative farming may help to conserve them and many other species.

Neil is a PhD student in the Agroecology Group, in the Department of Zoology, Cambridge. His research focusses in the impacts of alternative farming practices on insect communities.

This is a hybrid talk, with an online option, via Zoom, available alongside the usual in person event.

Please note: If you are joining in person, there is no need to book.
