Meet at meadow entrance by Godmanchester Lock. (TL 241 704) (what3words: amused.finishing.bulky). Walk across meadow from Huntingdon or Brampton or park in Godmanchester and walk through the Recreation Ground (via Chinese Bridge or the weir by Mill Yard)

About the event

Pat Doody will lead a walk around Portholme, an example of a ‘lowland hay meadow’. Alongside observing the flora and fauna, Pat will describe the history and management of this Site of Special Scientific Interest.  The ground is very likely to be wet and muddy in places: waterproof footwear is recommended.
