About the event

During this Youth Ranger session, for anyone living in Bedfordshire who is aged 12-18yrs old, you will be making your own fat-ball holders for birds! This is a great opportunity to learn some heritage craft skills- willow weaving; as well as look after wildlife in your garden, making these beautifully crafted bird feeders.

The activity will take place at Ampthill Scouts Hut, Station Road, Ampthill, Bedfordshire, MK45 2QU.
This will be an indoor activity, but please do wear some layers.

We will met at the entrance of the Scouts Hut for 10:00. If using What3words App, search: ///polka.backyards.closed

Materials, tools and refreshments will be provided to all those attending.

It is a great chance to meet other young people interested in the natural environment, to learn new skills and to explore a variety of green spaces.

Please wear sturdy boots, no experience is required just some enthusiasm and willingness to join in with the willow weaving. Staff will be delivering the willow weaving workshop but do contact us before this event if you have any queries.
