About the event
With 550 species in Britain, sawflies are an important part of the ecosystem. Their identification can be daunting, but many species can be recognised in the field. After an introductory talk we will work from specimens identifying some of the commoner genera. Weather permitting, we will venture out with nets to develop field skills.
