About the event

These weekly (term-time) sessions for 4-11 year olds are a great place for youngsters to explore, learn about nature, build confidence and gain new skills, all in the wonderful outdoor setting of the Nene Wetland's Education Area.

Led by our team of Forest School trained staff, sessions will include activities such as bug hunting, natural art, conservation projects, story time and tool use, all based around the changing seasons, as well as opportunities for self-exploration and free play.

Booking is essential and children must be accompanied by an adult (maximum of 2 children per adult). The sessions will take place outside in all weathers so please ensure that you wear appropriate clothing and footwear.

*Please note that an online booking fee applies. If you turn up at the session without booking in advance, we may be able to accommodate you but an additional £1 admin fee will apply. If you're thinking of coming along and haven't booked, please call the visitor centre before starting your journey to make sure the session is taking place.
