This role will lead in coordinating and delivering weed management across the site, so an understanding of various control methods is desired. You will be delivering practical land management ranging from site maintenance, tree works and regular tractor work using various implements. You will complete site condition surveys, varied ecological surveys and champion spreading the word about the Great Fen.

It is an exciting time to join the team, we are just starting a new programme of wetland creation and evolving our grazing management from traditional systems to No Fence collar systems on our more established wetland areas.  You will also provide assistance to the Grazing management lead, helping to meet our ecological aims.

You will join a passionate and hard-working team who are getting to grips with the challenges of managing and understanding a landscape scale project. There are lots of opportunities for learning, personal development and the satisfaction of knowing that work we are doing contributes towards the climate change mitigation and the future of wildlife in the Fens.

If you would like to apply for our Reserves Officer (West Cambs) in addition to this role, please specify this clearly in the box provided on the application form and state your role preference.
