About the event

This Youth Ranger session will be held in Hay Wood on Stopsley Common and is an opportunity for 12-18yr olds to meet together and enjoy this calm and natural space.

We will be joined by a local green wood worker, Dave Yule who will guide those attending in trying out some simple wood carving techniques. With a fire going and hot drinks available this really will be relaxing start to the weekend and a chance to meet like minded people and explore new places.

Tools, refreshments and safety gloves will be provided to all those attending. Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy boots, no experience is required just some enthusiasm and willingness to join in. Staff are on hand throughout the session and do contact us before this event if you have any queries. If you have not attended a Youth Ranger session before and are under 18, you will need to complete a parental permission form first.
