About the event

Join botanical artist and illustrator, Sophie Smith, for a workshop exploring coloured pencil techniques to illustrate winter foliage.  Working indoors with leaf samples and photographic references you will learn to depict colour and form with layers of coloured pencil.

No experience necessary.  Drawing outlines will be provided so time can be spent on the meditative art of colouring! You will be given a sketchbook for your drawings but please feel free to bring your own if you prefer.

How to buy your tickets:

There are 2 workshops available, you can come to both to further and practice your skills or you can just come to one if you prefer (you will get a discount on tickets when buying both together). If you are buying the combined ticket, please select the 19th as the date and click the combined ticket option (this will allow you entry to both).

Sophie Smith is a Botanical Artist and Illustrator based in Northamptonshire, specialising in coloured pencil.   A graduate of the Society of Botanical Artists, she has had works exhibited at the Mall Galleries in London and is an active member of Northants Open Studios.
