Join us to have lots of outdoor and wildlife inspired fun to kick- off a totally wild month!

About the event

Come along to Paxton Pits Environmental Education Centre and grounds, where families can have lots of fun and be inspired to spend even more time outside, as we head into summer and a totally wild June!

Activities will include pond dipping.

Wildlife Trust BCN member and non-member tickets available. Non-members £7:50 per child plus booking fee. Members £5:00 per child plus booking fee.

The session will run for 1 and 3/4 hours approximately. Wear long trousers, sturdy shoes, dress for the weather including sun cream and sunhats too. Bring a raincoat too as there will be lots to do outside plus indoor activities. 

Sorry no dogs (except assistance dogs) are allowed in the Environmental Education Area.

Please do not attend if you or your family feel unwell or have COVID-19.  In this instance please contact Debbie as soon as possible on the mobile number below.

Please park in the main car park opposite the Visitors Centre and please be aware the road outside the education centre is used all day by haulage lorries accessing the quarry so please keep children close on the way to and from the car park.

What to bring

As there will be lots of activities outside too, please dress for the weather, which if sunny will include a sunhat and suncream and bring or wear a raincoat. Long trousers and sturdy shoes are essential. Bring refreshments and snacks.
