Listen now to episode five of In Conservation, and get a front row seat to February's release of the beavers at the Nene Wetlands.

We are so excited to share this new episode of In Conservation - our fifth in the series - as host Sophie Baker gets a front row seat to the historic release of eight beavers to our Nene Wetlands nature reserve in Northamptonshire.

Listen to Conservation Manager Matt Johnson who we shadowed through the day - including at the release itself - and a selection of excited people who were there to see it. Plus we catch up with Senior Ranger Pete Bray and Nene Valley Projects Officer Ben Casey nearly a month after the release to hear how the beavers have been getting on. It's a bumper episode indeed! We hope you enjoy it.

Beaver Appeal

It’s been more than 400 years since wild beavers were seen in Northamptonshire. Now we have been granted permission to release a family group at Nene Wetlands nature reserve. As well as protecting the environment we hope they will inspire a new generation to care for nature. Donate today and help raise the money needed to make this plan a reality.
