Can you help us build a house for a dormouse?
If you have the space and tools to make wooden nest boxes we would like to hear from you. We are looking to recruit some keen carpenters to build new homes for our local dormouse populations. We can provide instructions and all building materials required.
Dormouse boxes provide shelter and a place to hibernate for protected dormice Muscardinus avellanarius and other small mammals. In addition, they are used to monitor the dormouse populations on the Wildlife Trust BCN's nature reserves.
Please contact us at ecologygroups@wildlifebcn.org for more information.
