The Tansy Beetle is listed as Endangered in Britain
The Tansy Beetle was once widespread in the UK, but now has a severely restricted and declining distribution. The beetle is threatened due to a reduction in suitable wetland habitat and food plants, including tansy tanacetum vulgare.
We love protecting some of the iconic and much loved larger species in our region, but the smaller creatures are just as vital for a functioning ecosystem. Beetles are a key sign of a healthy environment – and every species needs conservation care.
