About the event

A nation that loves its woods and trees somehow managed to destroy up to half of its ancient woods in only 40 years. How and why did this happen? And who prevented them all being lost? A Tale of Trees tells a story full of tragedy and heroism, ingenuity and blindness. Nature writer and Guardian country diarist Derek Niemann will inspire us all to go out and appreciate these natural treasures even more.
